The Book Catapult

Say My Name!

If you were considering purchasing fictional Breaking Bad character Walter White’s copy of Whitman’s Leaves of Grass – a plot lynchpin to the television series – you’re too late, friend, as it has already sold at auction for $65,500. This is not a rare first edition, mind you (like this one, worth $100k more, thankfully) but just a prop from a television show. Yes, one of the greatest television shows in the history of the universe, but nonetheless… sigh… So, congratulations, bbadfan101. Maybe… um… maybe you’ll read it? Instead of putting it in a safety deposit box… Right.

Well, on the bright side, you can’t have a meth-cooking drug kingpin brought down by someone stumbling across an inscribed eBook on his Kindle, now can you?

**Other BB auction favorites: Jesse Pinkman’s crap-tastic 1986 Toyota Tercel sold for $7,200. (At least a $7000 markup.) But Salamanca’s brass bell fetched $26,750. America! Fuck yeah!

Phew, I was wondering what it would sell for. I don't know if this is more or less than I was expecting…it's just…yeah.

Apparently books by James Bond the ornithologist, are “collectible” because of you-know-who.
